Policyholder: Cleaned and stored contents inventory items
Items marked for cleaning or storage are the items that were recovered from a loss but do not need to be replaced. After they are recovered, they are usually transported to a storage facility and, if necessary, cleaned. Some policyholders can request the return of stored and cleaned items if their insurance company has enabled that setting in ClaimXperience.
A list of contents inventory items can be found in the Items being cleaned or stored card on the Contents page. These can be accessed in the My Tasks menu.
Information included in the Items being cleaned or stored card
• A description of the item
• The quantity of the item
• The room from which the item was collected
• The box in which the item is stored
• The item ID that was assigned when the item was packed out
• The number of images, videos, documents, or recordings attached to a listed item
• The current location of the item
• "Customer site" indicates the item has been returned to the customer.
• The status of the item
• When the information on the card was last modified
• Whether the item has been requested for return
See a list of cleaned or stored items
1. Select Contents from your My Tasks menu.
2. Click the caret icon on the Items being cleaned or stored card to display the list.
Request the return of cleaned or stored items
Only items listed in the Items being cleaned or stored card can be requested for return. Items at the customer site cannot be requested for return
1. Select Contents from your My Tasks menu.
2. Select the checkboxes for the items you want to return.
3. Select Request.
4. Confirm the items selected.
5. Enter comments. (optional)
6. Select Request. The requested items appear in a new Requested tab.
Cleaned or stored items requested for return are marked with the Item requested for return icon on the Items being cleaned or stored card and are also displayed in a separate Requested tab. When an item is returned, it appears in the Items being cleaned or stored card with the location identified as Customer site.
Cancel the request for the return of a cleaned or stored item
You can only cancel the return of one item at a time.
1. Select Contents from your My Tasks menu.
2. Select the Requested tab.
3. Select the checkbox for the item you requested but don't want returned.
4. Click Cancel Item Request.
5. Confirm you do not want the item returned.
